Anne trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama and Glasgow University.

Her first professional role was opposite Scots-born, Hollywood actor Andrew Keir in ‘The Bigot’. Since then she has worked in most theatres in Scotland, most recently as the mother in ‘Six Black Candles’ at the Royal Lyceum which won the Critics Award for ‘best ensemble’.

Her favourite TV roles include Mary in the BAFTA nominated BBC hospital drama ‘And The Cow Jumped Over The Moon’ and Moira Gemmell in the six part series ‘Glasgow Kiss’.

Films include Madame Tarquini in Tony Palmer’s ‘Handel’, starring Trevor Howard and Barbara Ross in ‘Solid Air’.

She is also a published short story writer and LWT award-winning playwright. She performed her own stand-up in two series of Channel 4’s ‘Halfway to Paradise’ and has acted in numerous BBC Radio broadcasts.
