. . . award for Best Short Film in 2002; Manji, a BBC Tartan Short (also written and directed by Rene Mohandas) umbrelled by Gabriel Films; Swansong, a Digicult project for Film Council / Scottish Screen written by Joern Utkilen and directed by Nicholas Bone, and most recently Mono (a GMAC Digicult project for Film Council / Scottish Screen written and directed by Richard Smith) which premiered August 2006 and is currently enjoying the international festival circuit with over 25 screenings. Mono was awarded second prize at the BBC New Filmmakers Award, nominated for Best First Time Performance (Samantha Young) at the Scottish Baftas 2006 and awarded Best Short Film at the End of the Pier International Film Festival. Mono has also screened on BBC Three. Richard and Abigail are currently developing a feature version of Mono with Edge City Films.

Abigail is a director of Diversity Films CIC, which runs a new filmmaker development and training programme in underrepresented communities in Glasgow, and Alcoba Films, her own recently formed production company set-up to develop and produce short and feature projects with new and exisiting creative talent. Abigail also delivers production training and mentoring on the RSAMD Digital Film and TV BA (Honours) course as an industry practitioner.
