After 3 years acting training at Scotland’s most reputable drama school, Langside College, Bryan continued to develop his own unique path in the film industry by refining his on screen acting and filmmaking aspirations.

In 2004 his short film ‘Reflections of a Life’ beat off stiff competition and more than 14,000 films to attain a slot of the world famous Sundance Films Festival in Utah, USA. As part of Kevin Spacey's Triggersteet and incidentally the only Scottish film at the festival that year. It is here that a strong collaborative developed between Alec Boehm and Stephanie Argy and Dabhand Films.

It is from here that his own Glasgow-based production company Dabhand Films was born, with business partner Marc Twynholm.

Since then, he has worked diversely and consistently as an actor in TV and independent film, with appearances in STV's Taggart and Rebus. As an actor and filmmaker he has worked closely with digital filmmaking pioneer and mentor May Miles Thomas.

In 2005 Bryan won Best Actor in a Feature Film at the Fairport Films Festival for his portrayal of 'Gareth' in Uisdean Murray’s indie feature film ‘Just Around the Corner’ . . .
