This was closely followed with a number of diverse short films including Writer/Director Vincent Hunter’s ‘As Far as You’ve Come’ and also in 2006 Larkin wrote, produced, edited, and played the lead role in ‘SCENE.’ which has been described by many leading Scottish industry professionals the most original and best executed Scottish short film in many years, earning Bryan the prestigious BAFTA Scotland Award for Best First Time Performance. ‘SCENE.’ both films are available form Scottish Screen on their best of Scottish short films 2006 DVD.
Bryan will appear in two more feature films slated for release this year.
Award winning music video director Brendan MacNamee’s debut feature film ‘Mile Away’, alongside Zoe Thorne (An American Haunting, Doctor Who) and Therese Bradley (Young Adam, Rebus) and his first taste of Hollywood came in with a supporting lead role in Alec Boehm and Stephanie Argy’s debut feature film ‘The Red Machine’ set in 1930’s Washington.
